Do I need to take an assessment test in order to be admitted to a language course?

If you want to do a UNIcert®, you have to take an assessment test. You can find the test on MOODLE and the test can only be taken once.

All other course participants are also advised to take the test since the test result may be very useful to find the appropriate course.

I want to take a language exam on an extracurricular basis to get a university language certificate. Where and how can I register for the exam?

You need to register on the list “application for exam admission” which will be passed round in class by your course instructor. In addition, you have to register online via the self-service portal/course overview four to six weeks prior to the exam.

I am a teacher student and require proof of my language skills on a certain level. How can I register for an exam?

You need to register on the list “application for exam admission” which will be passed round in class by your course instructor. Please, note down the examination regulation/year that is relevant for your course of studies.

Where and when can I collect my certificate?

Certificates can be collected against signature from our office (on Wednesdays between 10:00 and 12:00). Alternatively, you may authorise someone (in written form) to pick it up for you: The authorised person must be able to identify him-or herself.
You may also send us a stamped and addressed envelope so that your certificate can be sent to you by mail.
